Next update
We aim to release this update in 2-3 weeks
-
- 1. Fix for Incorrect Login Error Message: Currently, using an existing email with a new username incorrectly shows that the username already exists. This will now display the correct message, indicating the email is already registered.
- 2. Fix for Missing Email in Confirmation Text: The confirmation text during registration does not display the email address. After this update, the email will be correctly shown for clarity.
- 3. Fix for Android App Stuck on Splash Screen: Some Android users have reported being unable to load past the splash screen, blocking access to the app. This update will address the issue to ensure seamless access for all Android users.
- 4. Improved Navigation for Workout Plans: On the home screen, clicking the workout plan image, rather than just the arrow, will now navigate directly to the plan details, ensuring a more intuitive experience.
- 5. Improved Navigation for Exercise Details: During workouts, clicking on an exercise image will now take you to the exercise detail page instead of automatically playing the video. This ensures easier access to detailed information while keeping video playback optional.
- 6. Fix for Displaying Recommended Rank: Currently, the exercise detail page shows the level range (e.g., “0 to 29”) instead of the recommended rank (e.g., “Novice”). This update will ensure the correct rank is displayed for clarity.
- 7. Improved Completion Indicators in Archive: Completed workouts in the archive will now display a green checkmark and a green dot for the corresponding day, replacing the current gray indicators for better visual clarity.
- 8. Fix for Training History Retention: Currently, exercise history is tied to workout plans, causing data to be deleted when a plan is quit or finished. After this update, exercise history will remain permanently linked to the exercise itself, ensuring consistent tracking over time.
- 9. Fix for Workouts Missing in Archive: Workouts are inconsistently saved in the archive and calendar view, with some workouts not appearing at all. This update will ensure that all completed workouts are consistently recorded and displayed in the archive and calendar, providing accurate tracking for users.
- 10. Fix for Community Profile Navigation: Currently, clicking on a username in the community redirects to the user’s own profile instead of the selected user’s profile. This update will ensure that clicking on a username correctly navigates to the intended user’s profile for improved usability.
- 11. Fix for Comment Reply Editor and Positioning: Issues with the comment reply editor on long posts will be resolved. Users will be able to see their input field and scroll effectively, even on posts containing pictures. The comment box position will be adjusted to ensure it is fully visible and easy to use.
- 12. Fix for “No Results” Icon in Community Threads: The “No Results” icon with a magnifier is incorrectly displayed in community threads without comments. This update will remove the icon from this context, ensuring a cleaner and more consistent interface.
- 13. Update for “Share with Family” Button: The “Share with Family” button on the workout finish screen will now direct users to the community, replacing the current link to the native share function.
- 14. Major Fix for Text and Layout Compatibility Across Devices: We’re addressing widespread text and layout compatibility issues affecting visibility and functionality on various devices. This update will ensure:
- – Text remains within designated boxes and does not overlap or obscure buttons.
- – Plan thumbnails and overlays display correctly.
- – Buttons like “Obtain Skill” remain clickable, even with longer instruction texts.
- – Titles align properly with navigation arrows and do not overlap.
- – Visuals and formatting adapt seamlessly across different screen resolutions and font sizes.
Short-term Updates
This section lists the updates and features that we aim to release within 2 months.
-
- 1. Enhanced Filters in Exercise Library: The filter functionality will be improved, allowing you to filter workouts by your level, target muscle groups, and the equipment you have available. This will make it easier to find the right workouts.
- 2. Display of Previous Logs: A new column for previous workout results will be added to the logs during exercise. This will allow you to see your past performances during your workouts.
- 3. Auto-Completion of Previous Skills: When you obtain a higher-level skill, all related lower-level skills will automatically be unlocked, saving you from having to do it manually.
- 4. Correct Skill Icon Colors: The icon color for skill names will be updated to correctly match the actual rank level of the skill you’ve achieved.
- 5. Display of Week Numbers: When a completed workout is part of a plan, the week number will be displayed next to it, giving a clearer overview of your progress within that plan.
- 6. Resistance Bands In Logs: For exercises that use resistance bands (e.g., assisted chin-ups), the previous logged bands will automatically appear in the logs, saving you from manually adding them.
- 7. Improved Equipment Filter for Workouts: The equipment filter will be refined to work better during workouts, helping you find relevant exercises based on your available equipment.
- 8. Navigation in Archive: You will be able to click anywhere on a workout in the archive to view it, instead of just clicking on the checkmark.
- 9. Full-Screen Videos: Workout videos will be playable in full-screen mode, improving your viewing experience.
- 10. Access to Exercise Details During Workouts: You will be able to click on an exercise name during a workout to navigate to the exercise detail page, in addition to clicking on the video icon.
- 11. Workout Plan Image: When clicking on the workout plan image on the home screen, it should navigate to the associated plan, but this is not working.
- 12. Fix for Exercise List Loading: We are addressing an issue where only 3 pages of exercises load when scrolling through the exercise list. After this update, all exercises will be listed continuously, ensuring the full range of exercises is accessible, unless content is limited.

Mid-term Goals
This section lists the updates and features that we aim to release within 2-6 months.
In the coming months, we are introducing several exciting updates to enhance the Calisthenics Family app experience. Soon, users will be able to register and log in more easily using their Google or Apple ID, simplifying the process of accessing the app. We’re also adding the ability to create supersets, allowing users to combine exercises for more efficient and intense workouts. In addition, we’re introducing a custom workout plan builder, which will allow users to design and tailor their own workout plans to meet their specific goals. You will also be able to schedule these workouts directly into a calendar, making it easier to plan your training and stay on track.
We’ll also implement direct linking of completed workouts to skill progression on the skillboard, helping you track which new skills you’re on the path to unlocking. Sharing your workout summaries both within the app community and externally will become possible, making it easier to showcase your progress and get feedback from others. We’re also launching a comprehensive knowledge bank, where users can find valuable resources to enhance their calisthenics training.
Additionally, new features will be introduced to provide more training customization options for users and deeper ways to engage with the app’s community, promoting interaction and collaboration among members.
As new features move closer to completion, we’ll provide further details through time-based release updates, keeping you informed on what’s coming next!
Long-term vision
This section highlights our vision and goals for the app beyond six months.
At Calisthenics Family, our long-term vision for the app is to create a platform that not only helps users track their progress and develop new skills but also turns calisthenics into a fun, addictive journey that transforms fitness into a lifestyle.
As users advance, they become part of the global Calisthenics Family, where athletes share their passion for the sport and support each other’s growth. We’re committed to building tools that foster personal growth and shared learning, keeping users motivated and engaged in their fitness journey.
While we have an exciting array of concrete features and ideas in development that we can’t reveal just yet, they will elevate the calisthenics experience to completely new heights. Our ultimate mission is to create World’s best Global Calisthenics App, Together.
Known Bugs
Below is a list of the bugs we are aware of. Our team is working hard to fix these as soon as possible.
-
- 1. Incorrect Rank Display: On the exercise detail page, the level is currently shown (e.g., “0 to 29”), but it should display the rank, such as “novice.”
- 2. Label Mismatch: Some repetition-based exercises show the label “max seconds” instead of “reps.”
- 3. Duration Display Issue: The default workout duration on the workout finisher screen is incorrectly set, it should reflect the actual duration.
- 4. Skill Status Block: The skill status information block should not be visible in this version of the app, but it is currently displayed.
- 5. Workout & Plans Result Lists: The results in the list are smaller than intended, making them harder to read.
- 6. Header Color Issue: Navigating to certain screens from Home keeps the top header dark, while it is white when navigated from Profile.
- 7. Resistance Band Suggestion: The suggested resistance band does not match the previously used band for the exercise.
- 8. Timer Functionality: Currently, the timer does not work as intended. The timer should automatically start with the default suggested rest time when a set is completed. If the user sets a custom timer, the label “custom rest” should appear, while the default rest should display “suggested rest.” The timer should only require manual input if the user wants to use a custom timer.
- 9. Completion Indicators: Completed workouts in the archive should display a green checkmark and a green dot for the day, but they are currently shown in gray.
- 10. Timer Circle Display: The timer circle resets every minute, so when 1:30 rest is selected, the circle incorrectly shows half completion after just 30 seconds.
- 11. Workout Plan Navigation: After starting a new workout plan, the user remains on the same screen instead of navigating back to the home screen.
- 12. Exercise History Order: In the exercise history, the most recent results should appear at the top. However, when identical exercises are performed on the same day, they are not displayed in the correct order.
- 13. Notification Deletion: The trash icon for deleting notifications does not function.
- 14. Achievement Navigation: Clicking on an achievement on Home should navigate to the specific thread, but it currently navigates to the general “achievements” tab.
- 15. Limited Exercises Visible: When scrolling through the list of exercises, only the exercises until “archer push-up” are shown, while the entire list should be available.
- 16. Hexagon Border Color: The hexagon border color for other users is the same as your own level in threads, but it should reflect the level of the other user.
- 17. Stiff Scrolling Through Exercises: Scrolling through the exercises while training is not smooth, as exercises jump to the next without being clicked. It should scroll smoothly.
- 18. White Screen After ‘Quick Start’: After clicking ‘quick start’, a white screen sometimes appears.
- 19. Profile Navigation in Community: Clicking on another user’s name in the community leads to your own profile instead of the other user’s profile, unless you click on the profile photo.
- 20. Text Size on Skillboard: The text for some skills on the skillboard is too large.
- 21. YouTube Plans Loading Slowly: In the YouTube plans section, only 10 items are initially visible. While more items load when scrolling, this process is very slow and affects the user experience.
- 22. Verification in Web Browser: Password and email verification are done in the web browser, even when the link is opened from a mobile email.
- 23. View Details Button on Android: On Android devices, the “view details” button on the homepage is sometimes pushed out of the frame due to long text.
- 24. Cursor Display Issue with Weights: The cursor is not displayed correctly when entering weights.
- 25. Subscription Screen Text Not Updated: The text on the subscription screen does not change when in the “pending-cancelled” state.
- 26. Empty Home Screen After Stopping Workout Plan: The home screen sometimes appears empty after stopping a workout plan.
- 27. Last Post Disappears in Feeds: When posting in both feeds, the last post disappears, possibly because the page is already full.
- 28. Countries Not Alphabetically Ordered: Countries are not listed in alphabetical order on the country selection screen.
- 29. Workouts Not Saved in Archive: Workouts are not always saved in the archive, while they should.
- 30. Max Reps Not Displayed in Exercise History: On the exercise history screen, the personal best indicators for maximum reps are not displayed, while the maximum weight is visible.
- 31. Incorrect Error Message in Register: When registering with an existing email address, the error message appears under the username instead of the email field.
- 32. Skillboard Progress Bar Issue: The progress bar on the skillboard is not functioning correctly. It does not progress proportionally with the total level achieved.
