The Full Journey ( January ,2020)

Hey guys!

That was a quick two months! So far, I’ve put on about 7 pounds and cut some chub from my gut. I mainly focused on the strength portion of the beginners course (Logbook workout 1, 2 and 4) with legs and core on shoulder recovery days. I have a Type II AC Separation in my left shoulder so that made things interesting. Had to make sure to take ample recovery time in the beginning. The Logbook workout 3 (mainly the skin the cat, tucked backlever and German hangs) set me back for 3 days of brutal recovery so I decided against those, for now. Anyway, here’s where I think I’ve improved the most:

1/19 

  • 1 chin-up (barely/shit form)
  • 1 pull up (barely/shit form)
  • 10 straight bar dips
  • 2 dips (w/ heavy shoulder pain)
  • 15 pike push ups
  • 10 diamond push ups
  • 7sec wide grip pull up hold
  • 15sec chin up hold

3/22 

  • 11 strict chin-ups
  • 11 strict pull-ups
  • 22 straight bar dips
  • 15 dips (pain free)
  • 30 pike push ups
  • 25 diamond push ups
  • 30sec wide grip pull up hold
  • 35sec chin up hold

I think I’ve built up enough strength to move back into some of the exercises that were setting me back prior. Looking forward to the rest of my journey. Either way, thanks for the program. I’ve been really enjoying it!
